Dr. Hill uses the latest neuroscience, and her diverse early childhood experiences, to maximize a community’s capacity to cultivate stable, nurturing environments supporting optimal health and well-being in young children and their caregivers. Serving as Senior Manager of Early Childhood for the Woodland Park Zoo, expanded her primary focus to include building resiliency in families through connections to nature, mindfulness, and outdoor educational opportunities.

She believes:

  • Change must confront institutionalized racism and empower disenfranchised communities.
  • Building resiliency – as well as mitigating the negative impacts of trauma and toxic stress on health and well-being – is essential to building equity.
  • Change must be grounded in community engagement, voice, and shared leadership with impacted families.
